Had this model of Microplane for 5+ years - until the plastic broke & that was it. Upgraded to the professional series to avoid another breakage (always at the wrong time) - love these zesters!!! Also got the coarse grater & dumped my old box grater forever. Spend the extra couple of bucks & get a professional series - you will love it forever.
