Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Microplane 39105 Rotary Grater with Two Blades, RedCustomer Review: Rotary Grater Summary: 4 Stars
We use the grater to grate parmesan for both recipe ingredients and at the table directly on serving plates. It does a very good job of producing lots of grated cheese quickly with little effort. I like that the grating cylinder can be inserted on the left or right, making it comfortable for all to use.
Construction feels a bit flimsy so I treat it gently, but no failures have occurred in a year's weekly use. The grater disassembles easily for clean up. Cold water seems to work best to keep cheese remnants from sticking.
Customer Review: did not work! how can a grater not work?! Summary: 1 Stars
I was trying to avoid buying a box grater, so I bought this to grate zuchini. Bad idea. It would not grate using the large or the small holes! The shiny plastic made it look more sturdy in pictures, but it's a very flimsy plastic, and I could not push the handles hard enough to get the zuchini in contact with the blades. I ended up buying a box grater, and love IT
Customer Review: Does its job Summary: 4 Stars
I've only used the coarse blade to shred carrots. Using the turn knob on the lever seemed unstable, so I ended turning the lever itself. Carrots were shredded evening. Cleaning was a breeze. I did managed to squeeze my finger shut into the handle when I snapped it shut. That was not fun. But no bleeding.
Customer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 Stars
We had a cheese grater for many years and it irritated me for all those years! Now we have this Micro-plane and it could not be any easier to keep clean and to use! I would recommend it to anyone!
Customer Review: the folks loved it. Summary: 5 Stars
Got it as a mother's day gift for my mother after we asked about it at a favorite restaurant. The parents really liked it, and use it all the time.
