I first heard about the Rabbit wine opener last winter when a friend told me about how well it works. They were even giving them for Christmas presents. I thought that was a great gift idea for wine lovers and wished I drank wine to warrant one for myself. I just purchased this Rabbit for a gift and my friend is really pleased. I chose the silver model for him, rather than the cool black version. He thinks the silver is really elegant. He raved about how great it works, all the neat accessories, and even the box in which to keep the entire set intact. Maybe I'll start drinking wine after all and get one for myself!Customer Review: Unreliable

The website at that their rabbits are made out of sturdy metal. Not true, there are two different makes of the "Rabbit," and this one has plastic arms with a metallic paint. Mine has been unreliable from the start, sometimes it pulls out the cork and other times it undrills the cork. If you consult the RMA policy it requires you to ship it to them and send ten dollars for return shipping. They are effectively charging you for a replacement. I have bought all metal knockoffs for friends for about ten bucks and they've been happier than I. This is one time where brand name just means added cost, not quality.Customer Review: Bad Seller, Damaged Item

This seller sent an item that was damaged, the case was scuffed, the box was dented and the shrinkwrap torn. Their response? They aren't liable for damage during shipping and I should file a claim with UPS. The problem is that the shipping container, itself, was not damaged. Seller wants me to pay for return shipping. Photos of damaged item to be posted shortly.
Won't purchase from this seller again.
UPDATE: Amazon claims I must return this item at my expense and seller is not obligated to reimburse my shipping costs. So, I will be paying $7-8 and have nothing in return.

I bought this a few years ago, when it first came out, as a gift for my parents. As they get a little older, I thought an easy-on-the-hands alternative to the conventional corkscrew would be great. It comes in a pretty box, too - which makes it seem like a great gift. But, because it can seem a little intimidating and harder to understand, my parents struggled with it a bit, and then put it away... never to be seen again. This is a costly gift - so make sure the intended giftees will appreciate it before you purchase. PS: I plan to steal it back from them for myself.Customer Review: Great Wine Opener

This wine opener makes opening wine a snap! It is the easiest way to open wine. I used to struggle with traditional corkscrews, but this is amazing! The only thing is that I was expecting the whole apparatus to be metal, it is a silver finish plastic. All of the opening parts are metal, but I was hoping the finish would be metal also. This is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars versus 5. The acessories are great too, I especially like the win stopper, it fits easily on any size wine bottle and produces a vacuum seal. Great product for wine lovers!
