Customer Review: metrokane glasses a let-down

The plastic is just too thin. Really noticable on the lip when you're drinking. It makes it feel as if you are drinking from a "dollar store" glass instead of one that costs $6. One good thing though, the ice compartment does help in making your cold drink stay cold longer and doesn't water down your drink by melting ice.

Normally, sipping a cold beer when the temperature is 95 degrees F is to quench your thirst before your cool beverage turns warm in the summer heat. Not so with Metrokane's 6100 Polar Ice Glass. Made of food-grade, dishwasher-safe polycarbonate (cools liquids without diluting them), this innovative glass continuously chills drinks over time. Beer, white wine, iced coffee, sparkling water, and other beverages are 10 degrees cooler after 10 minutes, 16 degrees cooler after 20 minutes, 23 degrees cooler after 30 minutes. Thanks to Metrokane you can keep the ice in your glass and out of your beer. To use the glass simply fill the chamber with ice and water, then seal with rubber stopper. One glass has a 24-ounce capacity.
