Customer Review: A must for Whole poultry

I'm sure there are more uses for kitchen shears than butterflying or hacking a whole chicken into parts, but none will test it's strength and ability more than that task. All our poultry comes whole and I use these on anything that I'm not roasting in tact whole. They are great. The only reservation I have is that since they very easily cut through even the biggest chicken bones, they are certainly sharp and sturdy enough to slice through my hands with ease too. So, work very carefully, especially when using wet raw meat. and don't use these for common tasks such as cutting twine and paper, since they are more likely to cut you the more often you use them. Find a cheaper, not so sharp item for those other tasks.
