I have a pair and I use them daily. So great to be able to pull the blades apart so you can feel good about them being clean after using them on something that could cause a bacterial build up at the hinge. They never rust and they stay sharp for a really long time. Handle isn't as comfortable as I'd like, but the quality of the steel and the fact that they separate for cleaning are what will keep these as one of my favorite kitchen utensils.Customer Review: Great design meets quality and value

Messermeister's design for this kitchen shear is ingenius because it provides lots of torque throughout the blade, is small for the drawer or knife block, and works well. I ground the flat screwdriver part off, but whether you get these or not, make sure you buy a good pair of kitchen shears, since you will use them as much as your favorite knife or more. These sizzors are a kitchen dream except for the fact that they fall apart easily. But they are called take apart utility sheer, so I was forwarned. It just happens easily. I would give them a 5 but they do open and fall apart when I pick them up. I did recently purchase these and need to get used to them. If you don't have kitchen shears or you have a pair that won't even cut through chicken bones, don't even hesitate to order these now. You will find yourself using these every day, from cutting up delicate herbs to spatchcocking a chicken for the grill. I love the thin blades because they can fit into some tight spaces, unlike those fat all-purpose scissors that are useless in the kitchen.Customer Review: HORRIBLE!!!

If you spread these shears apart more than one or two centimeters they become unhinged. After a month of this I decided to bite the bullet and find a better pair of take apart kitchen shears. For four more dollars you can get the Wustof shears and it is well worth it. Messermeister = Made In China. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know then go ahead and throw your money away.
