I have had this item for years and I finally stopped using it because the ceramic drip cone does not drain very well. The coffee and water must create a vacuum and I have to lift up the paper cone and jiggle it to get the flow going. Sometimes the filter tears and then it's a real mess. I have also used the Melitta plastic cones and those drain perfectly.Customer Review: Great Coffee

Not only does this make a great cup of coffee and fast, but it is also eco-friendly. It isn't using a lot of electricity plus it's made of porceline so there is no plastic or metalic taste to my coffee. It also looks very nice on my counter top and takes up less room than a conventional coffee maker.Customer Review: O.K. copy

The original pot arrived with a broken handle but I was promptly sent a replacement. This is a fairly crude imitation of an original Melitta coffee pot and so not for collectors but it makes perfectly good coffe without this plastic taste which comes with age to the plastic filter holders.Customer Review: Melitta Porcelain Manual Coffee Maker

An excellent small porcelain coffee maker for the single person or a couple. Makes enough coffee for one or two. It works for me as a single person who enjoys the lovely porcelain coffee pot to serve an elegant cup of coffee. Melitta does an artistic style serving coffee pot.
