Summary: 5 Stars
Hands down this beats a metal kettle or a plastic plug in one. You avoid any unnecessary chemical or metal exposure. As per one of the older reviews here on the handle getting hot, this will only happen if you have a fairly wide gas burner--one about midway from the center to the edge will avoid the problem. Also, if sediment builds up, I recommend cleaning by swiveling some white vinegar around in it as it loosens sediment. Additionally, the glass will crack if it is cooled down too quickly--or, for example, if you fill again too soon after it was heated.
