I ordered this thermometer for New Years Day cause I was cooking a Standing Rib Roast. I had it for a week, and it worked.On the day I needed it the freaking thing stop working! Sorry piece of crap! I had to rush to Sears to buy another model. The shipping was excellent and the company I brought it from is first-class, but the Maverick Digital Roasting Thermometer and Timer is a cheap piece of dookie! What can you expect for under 10 dollars?

Description of Maverick ET-808 Digital Roasting Thermometer and Timer

The large digital LCD display is easy to read from a distance, and has a 99 minute countdown timer. The flip down stand and magnet makes for easy storage on any magnetic surface, while the 48-inch probe reaches from inside the oven to your countertop with plenty of length to spare. Measures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius with a range of 32-degree to 482-degree Fahrenheit.
