Was so excited to try this since I had just moved into a new apartment and was having trouble sleeping because of the highway noise outside. Used it on the low setting and found the fan-like noise to be very soothing and masked the noise outside. Am so glad I found this product and would recommend it to anyone!! I purchased a sleep mate for my husband 18 years ago when the neighbor's dog barked all night. It worked wonders. He slept at night and became a much more agreeable man during the day. There is only one problem. The white noise is addicting. When ever we travel, the sleep mate travels with us. I wish I new about this machine 20 years ago!
I live in an apartment, and have loud and
inconsiderate neighbors. Since I've used the
Sleepmate 980, I don't hear anything but a
relaxing breeze! Now I can look forward to a
good nights sleep, EVERY NIGHT! If you have a
problem sleeping, you need this machine!

We purchased this dream machine for our master bedroom and it has worked great. We are really happy with the noise level and are actually thinking of giving this to our son and getting another one for our room. Definitely better then having a fan blowing on you in the winter.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The entire family is addicted to this wonderful device. It has no "loop" of sounds (like a tape recorder playing the same loop of sound over and over again), like some of the noise machines we tried, so you just hear pure white noise. It smoothly blocks all random noise and lulls us right to sleep. We keep one in every bedroom.
