I ordered this to use in my non stick pans during cooking. I have had it a year now and it has worked beautifully! The head of the spoon comes off the handle so it can be easily cleaned no matter what might get stuck on it. I have on occasion used it during some frying episodes and it didn't melt at all, which was quite shocking. The only 2 small down sides to this are: A) It was accidentally put in a drawer with knives by my better half and unfortunately it lost a fight with a paring knife, so there's a small divot in the edge. & B) If you use it with any kinds of red sauce make sure it is washed immediately. I have the chianti colored spoon and you can't notice so much on there but with the penne colored one you notice the reddish orange stain the sauce leaves behind if left to sit for too long....and by too long I mean don't forget to wash it that night!
