Customer Review: An attractive and useful item.

I like wooden utensils and use them for cooking constantly; more so than metal if truth be told. This was a nice addition to my collection and not only does it look good, it is quite serviceable. Now beechwood is not the best of woods to make such implements from, but it will do and if taken care of, will last a goodly time. I use mine primarily for stirring but this slotted version makes it ideal for serving various vegetables when you want to leave the "juice" behind.
This wooden spoon, like all wooden cooking tools, should not be machine washed and should be allowed to dry as soon as possible after washing. A light coating of vegetable oil every now and then seems to enhance their color and extend their lives.
Like another reviewer here, I found the design to be quite good; comfortable to use and easy to manipulate.
This is a nice price on this very serviceable and attractive item.
