I was somewhat on the fence about this item especially when I saw the price in other catalogs. Amazon had it cheaper (like usual). I decided to try the item and return if not happy. I was blown away by how good the drinks were. This is an excellent frozen drink maker for use during the hot summer months. It's pretty much idiot proof. You follow the instructions and it makes great drinks. The only downside is that all drinks must conform to the standard proportion recipe. Stray from it, like my wife did once, and it makes lousy drinks. Follow the instructions, and the drinks are flawless. The price seems somewhat high. However, the quality of the item justifies the price.Customer Review: Works like a Charm!

I purchased this before my daughter's wedding when we had a pre-rehearsal day party at our house. This was so easy to use; the recipes included for the margarita were wonderful; and this is a gorgeous machine!
After drinks were made and there was still some ice in the top reservoir, I never had to worry about it leaking out as it goes into a chamber on the back of the machine as it melts. You just pop that off and empty. Did I tell you how easy this was to use...exactly!
Would I recommend this machine, definitely yes! I have an appliance garage with my cabinets, so I took the ice part off the top and it slides in beautifully just waiting for the next party.

I have been looking for a blender that would make perfect margaritas or daiquiris and this is the one. It makes 1, 2 or 3 drinks at a time, and perfect everytime, as long as you read and follow the directions and put in the right amount of mix. Easy to use and clean. I had been looking for an Island Oasis Blender on Ebay, but the Margaritaville Frozen Conconction Maker is so much smaller and priced well below what a used Island Oasis was going for. This is perfect for travel and I plan on taking it to many Jimmy Buffett concerts. The only downside is the ice storage on top, they need to have an attachment that will hold a bag of ice so you don't have to refill as often.Customer Review: Love it! Works great! This is a sweet blender for frozen drinks! It shaves the ice BEFORE it blends just like the pro units like island oasis machines do. Its like a baby oasis machine... load the ice on top put your booze and mizer in the glass blender hit the switch... your ice starts to spin and then is shaved and dropped into the blender then its blended... you can add more shaved ice or blend extra with the manual switch to the right.
The price may at first seem like a lot but when you look at what it does and what a pro unit costs (2k) it really is a fair price... its a solid machine built by Sunbeam.
The last thing: its FUN to use !

This blender rocks. I've been looking for a blender that can handle smoothie making and this is the product. It shaves the ice first then drops it into the blender for the actual blending.
As previous people have stated, it's a little loud, however my last blender that couldn't handle the frozen fruit and didn't blend well was also loud. This blends so fast that the noise shouldn't bother anyone.
If you're at all curious as to how big the blender is, it's about the size of my KitchenAid mixer, but less weight. This is a little hard for me to store, since I'm limited on cabinets, so I leave it out on the counter.
