The Margaritaville DM1000 Frozen Concoction Maker is absolutely the best invention ever! I have made numerous frozen concoctions including margaritas, pina coladas, daiquiris, other drinks that haven't been named yet! I have found it extremely useful to make my protein shakes after a workout at the gym! (Non-alcholic of course) My daughter even likes for me to use the "Shave only" feature and make her snowcones! All you have to do if you want your concoction thicker is hit the "Shave only" feature then blend only! It took me a few times to get it right, but now I'm a Master! Adding fruit is not a problem either...just throw it in and let the machine do all the work! The MFCM is extremely versatile and has been a hit everywhere I take it!Customer Review: Gotta Love it...

We recently purchased this item a few weeks ago and in the short time we've had it, we've definitely gotten our money's worth. The machine DOES make great drinks and makes it very easy to entertain and serve cocktails to large groups. The only complaint that I have is that it is loud when blending. When you're entertaining a large group, it's fine--but if you're looking to make a margarita up for yourself, be prepared to share with everyone in the house.
And if you have it set-up in the backyard, be prepared for neighbors to hear the roar and come through the side door to join in all the fun. (no joke!).
Tip: Williams Sonoma's Mango Margarita mix has been our favorite for us and all of our guests.

I bought this product brand-new and used it less than a dozen times. In less than a dozen times, I had to replace the blending blade FOUR times because the the base of the blending blade that catches with the motor base is made out of HARD RUBBER. This hard rubber would strip anytime I put anything in the blender that any ordinary (and cheaper) blender could handle with no problem (e.g., soft frozen yogurt, banana pieces). Soon the blending blade base would strip even with the shaved ice in the blender, and the motor base wore down because of this.
Do yourselves a favor and ignore the fancy Margaritaville marketing and get yourselves a real, durable blender for a lot less money. This product is USELESS!

If you like your frozen drinks smooth, this is the product for you. You just put some ice in the upper bin, your drink mix in the blender portion, decide how many drinks you want and flip a switch. Gone are the little chunks of ice that clog up the straw. All that is left is a very smooth smoothie for the kids or something a bit stronger for the adults. There are quite a few nice little features that really show some thought and not just a product quickly brought to market. There is a catcher in the rear for any ice melt so that it doesn't go into your drink and there is ample storage space for the cord within the machine so that the cord doesn't clutter up your counter. Just back from a week at Cape Hatteras with the crew. We have a total of 9 couples who have shared a house in Sept/Oct for many years now. This was the first true test of the Frozen Concoction Maker and it passed with flying colors. Probably had about a years worth of normal usage in a week and amazed everyone (and we are very serious about our margaritas - we even have a gas powered blender for making frozen drinks on the beach)
Makes fabulous drinks, easy to use, and a snap to clean up. What more could you want. OK, one suggestion would be to be able to buy extra jars so that you can be pouring one while the next is in the machine. Other than that it was perfect.
