Customer Review: Cooks bacon with less grease

I've had one of these for years, after being unsatisfied with the Nordicware sloped flat trays and the bacon "wave" type. The sloped trays were never wide enough and didn't cook much bacon. The "wave" trays took forever to load the bacon correctly.
This one can cook about 16 slices, and the T bars force the grease to drip down into the tray.
Like other reviewers, I agree that you have to adjust the cooking time for each type of bacon. And frankly, some bacon types cook better in a microwave than others.
For those of you who cook turkey bacon, watch the time -- it cooks faster and turkey bacon and it tastes even worse if overcooked!
As for cleanup, I pop this in the dishwasher without scrubbing and it seems to come out fine.
I'm ordering a second one because the holes where you place the "T" bars have finally become a bit chipped, making the T bars wobbly. I've also had two of the T bars finally break after five years of being put in the dishwasher.
The only downside to the "Makin' Bacon" is that you get bacon that is permanently "folded." So if you're looking for a cooker that will produce that wonderful flat bacon to look perfect on the plate, this isn't it!
Overall, a great value for a long-lasting product.
