I love the features of the magic bullet system. I'm having a smoothie every morning now! It's one of the best appliances that I own. The one thing that I don't like with this purchase is the blender attachment. I was hoping to make larger batches of smoothies for the family. If you try to mix a big batch, the mix will overflow and you'll have to do move it to another vessel to complete the mix. The lid does not seal the blender and you are limited to filling the container a little over half way, which is the same size as the large cup container. I think it will be a good product if you add ingredients as you blend, while not over fill it. Bottom line is I LOVE the Magic Bullet but am not a fan of the blender with the unsealing lid.Customer Review: Short life

We've enjoyed our Magic Bullet blender for slightly under three years. Then (suddenly?) the drive gear on the motor base wore away. You'd think the little rubber nubbies on the bottom of the cutter assembly would wear, and they probably did, but the hard plastic vanes of the driver piece just shredded.
Could this have been because of mis-use, like maybe not pushing down hard enough to assure full engagement of the nubbies in the vanes? I don't know; I'm not going to tell my wife and daughter that they didn't know how to operate a simple hand blender.
Now the thing is junk. I'll start looking for repair parts, but I wouldn't recommend the Magic Bullet, until they change their material choice.

I bought the magic bullet to mostly make smoothies with ice. It does not chop ice. It doesn't even chop ice AFTER I have pre-shashed the ice in a bag with a rolling pin. It doesn not blend up whole strawberries as I had large pieces of the top in my smoothie. After this did not I work, I did 2hrs of research and found an amazing blender that is cheap. KithenAid makes a 5 speed polycoarbonate blender. Only 99.99 at Bed Bath Beyond. IT is amazing. Put in all fruit whole and 6-7 ice cubes whole and about 10-15 sec later it was done-COMPLETELY blended!! This was #1 on the consumer reports and rave reviews from all customers...besides one by VitaMax that was $500. Don't waste your time w the magic bullet...it is not MagicCustomer Review: love the bullet!

This does everything is says! We've put it to the test and it has never failed! The best part of it is is that my kids are drinking smoothies: 1. that they are making themselves,thank you! and 2.with only natural ingredients! I think they feel they're getting one up on Mom, because she has a new toy! In reality,they haven't gotten their daily amount of friuts and veggies in a very long time.
I'm thrilled! It is one of those products that you have very high exspectations for and it has lived up to them!
The only thing we haven't really used is the colored bands for the cups.Really we haven't used the to go cup top either.I don't think it's too important, but maybe down the line, maybe in warmer months.

This is a great little unit, I can't imagine being without it. The infomercials aren't wrong, it really does everything they say it does. Now that I've given you the upside for owning one, it's only fair I give you the down side:
The unit is built sturdy but like anything that gets lots of use, it will wear out. If you have a family and use it often for drinks, you'll be lucky to have the motor last 3-4 months. I have had mine for nearly two years now but I have a household of two and it doesn't get used every day, maybe once a week if we're lucky.

Price shop if you can, the prices listed here are high and the shipping charges can be outrageous. Be a wise shopper.
