Mine worked for about a year and a half (realistically, maybe 20 smoothies?) before it died. All of a sudden it was just totally, completely dead.
Its great for smoothies while it works. Quick to use, super easy to clean.
I'll probably buy another but I'm not at all happy about it.
Wish a "real" manufacturer would use this design.
What a GD world we live in!

I don't think this is as "great" and "easy" as they tell you on tv, but this is very useful for making protien shakes on the go. Just mix it up, and off to work. The shake is ready for use later in the day. My complaint is that the base doesn't always turn off like it should, we have had to unplug the unit in order to get it to turn off. However, it's a minor inconvenience. Easy to wash in the dishwasher, the rough surface inside makes it a little more challenging to wash by hand. $297.99 ????? Either there is a typo here, or some very greedy people
trying to sell EXTREMELY over-priced merchandise! (I have rated it 3 stars, as this is the middle rating. It would be higher if the price was lower, lower if I knew this was the actual, confiscatory price!)
P.S. On the website for the "Magic Bullet Platinum Pro", I was able to buy TWO "Magic Bullet Platinum Pro" blenders for approximately the same price as ONE REGULAR (and not as powerful!), "Magic Bullet", is being sold for here!

This thing sucks. SUCKS. Mush or Nothing. That's your choices. Want to make a frozen drink in the individual drink cups? FORGET IT. Ain't gonna happen. It tosses the ice cubes in a whirl until they are balls instead of squares. And it does not chop anything up that is dry, like cheese or vegetables. Nope, has to have liquid in it for it to work. and then, back to the beginning of my review - You get mush. My mom bought this for me, and I am so sorry she wasted her money. It's not good for anything, well, maybe if you want to make baby food.Customer Review: Great product

We've had our magic bullet more than 4 years. I originally bought it for my son while he was in high school for his protein shakes. In the meantime, we've used it for our own smoothies, making hummus, grinding our own spices, the list goes on and on. Since my son went to college, we bought him a new one to take, since we weren't about to part with this one. His is working well while in college, too. I don't know what you people are mixing in yours to make the motors burn out, but, ours is working great and wouldn't give it up for anything.
