Customer Review: Compact, handy, works well, and inexpensive

I purchased this turner along with the Matfer Pelton spatula (see my review for that item). I like this turner because of its compact and handy size and the fact that it has a slightly (you really have to look) beveled front edge for sliding under whatever you are cooking. Some turners of this type are almost double or more than the price of this one. I have used it and found it to work well. Some of the other reviewers have remarked that it broke when pressing down on hamburgers or whatever. I am not trying to beret them, but must say that this is a turner, not a grill press. However, I do agree that it is a bit thin in the tang portion that is riveted into the handle. Accordingly, that is the only reason I limited my rating to four stars. Otherwise, I would recommend this item subject to its proper use.Customer Review: A Very Good Turner for the Price

I first purchased the Oxo Good Grips flexible turner and while I was initially pleased with it, I found that the good grips handle melts when the spatula is left in the pan or leaned against the pan. I'd have purchased the Lamson second but it wasn't available with Amazon Prime, which I like for ease of ordering and return. So I ordered the MIU. It's better built than the Oxo as the one piece steel blade extends into the handle and is riveted into place by the three rivets that you can see in the picture. The blade is sharp and flexible and the handle doesn't melt when you get it warm. Overall, I like the turner but it is about 2" shorter than the Oxo and I prefer the larger size. For that reason I give it four stars rather than five.Customer Review: Does what it should, good price.

What can you say about a slotted spatula? After trying my silicon utensils with my new stainless pan, I decided that I needed a metal spatula (turner)to use instead. Read some reviews on amazon, and decided on this one.
I've not had it long, but it seems to do just what I want it to. Good quality and holds up just fine in the dishwasher. Good price from what I've seen. MIU has a great rep, and I believe this will hold up over the long term. I'd buy another if I had to.

I ordered a half dozen of these turners and shared some with friends. The end of the blade is sharp and is excellent for cutting into baking dish preparations such as casseroles, mac & cheese, enchiladas, etc. And after cutting, the flexible blade makes short work of scooping out precise portions. I keep two of these turners on hand as they are useful in frying delicate fish --- you can use one to turn the fish and the other to catch it so it doesn't splash the oil. I ordered two of the MIU slotted stainless steel flexible turners. These turners are definitely part of my "beautiful, functional items" list. They perform like an extension of my hand -- not too short, not too long; with a full tang handle they are perfect for flipping just about anything. And after I clean them, I just like to look at them. They are as beautiful as they are helpful. And the price could not be beat. Thank you Amazon and MIU.
