This is a cool little gadget that I should have had long ago. Now wonder I always burned things! Hang one off a rack in your oven and you will know exactly what your oven temp is! Tells you if your oven runs a little hot or cool and you can adjust your cooking accordingly. It's made of stainless steel and the dial is easy to read through the oven window. There are several little hooks to allow you to hang in different places. This is definitely something that should be in every oven!Customer Review: Questionable quality

This is my second MIU product and both were made in China. The quality feels questionable, especially for a $15 thermometer. Feels like a $3.99 kitchen gadget. The metal feels very thin. While in my hot oven, I used tongs to adjust the thermometer's location. The hanging hook bent a little after I barely touched it.
Accuracy seems good so far and adjusts within a few minutes. I just don't think this thermometer should have cost so much, though.

I bought this gadget because my breads were getting burnt in my new electric oven. I discovered by using this thermometer that when I set my oven thermostat at 350 F, it actually settles at 375 F!
I am able now able to readjust my thermostat setting and verify my desired temperature from its readings. It is a sturdy item but not made in France as I expected. It is made in China. It looks like our country is dead without help from China!!

I placed the Oven Thermometer into a Solar Bread Box Water Heater to tell me ambient temperature of inside the box. This was one of the few temp. gauges that goes from 50 degrees and up, so it's perfect for my use in the solar water heater. It was easy to mount with the hook design on top also. Hung this unit in our new samsung oven and set oven temp to 400c.
The over took longer than I expcted to stabilize at 400C, but after ~ 25mins found the reading on this unit matched dead on the 400c set for our Samsung oven.
Now the calbration for both this unit and the Samsung oven could still be off, but it's more likely that they are both accurate which makes me happy
