Customer Review: Fun idea but poor results

It only has top and bottom wedges to keep the ice in place, nothing on the sides, so if someone bumps the luge table or puts their mouth to the bottom too forcefully it will knock the ice block right off and it will crack on the table. You need to start with cold liquor because the luge isnt long enough to chill a room temperature shot. You cant use shot glasses as half will spill down the side of the luge leaving your shot glass only half full since the luge has no lip or spout so you need to put your mouth right up to the luge. There is no melting water catch tray, I put a bake tray underneath it which lasted long enough until people lost interest in the luge before water started to melt everywhere.
The plastic is very thin and cheap, within seconds of removing the luge from the freezer my luge cracked right down the middle, though upon letting it sit for an hour before removing it from the mold the crack seemed to not cause a problem and the luge came right out. I didnt try any of that soaking in water stuff since I feared the ice would crack (like so many other reviewers stated). Just take in out of the freezer and let it sit for an hour or so prior to using and it will slide right out.
I would not recommend this product for practicality, though it still had a good "Wow" factor when it was in use.
