Customer Review: Good 5.5 and 8 ounce prep bowls
Summary: 5 Stars
These bowls have a small enough diameter to not take up too much counter space, yet they hane good capacity. They're your typical glass prep bowls; you can get plastic ones, these will break if mishandled of course. I prefer glass.
The glass looks very nice, very well shaped and polished, very clear. It's high quality glass, not high-lime glass (green tint), which makes these bowls fairly durable. They are glass and will break easily; but a tap won't necessarily crack them in half.
The 5.5 and 8 ounce sizes give you options for preparing dry and fresh spices; liquids; and eggs. Obviously the 5.5 ounce size dwarfs the 1/4 teaspoon of salt that you need to add at one point; but often the recipe calls for an addition of, say, 1/4tsp salt, 1/2tsp pepper, 1tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp cayenne powder. In such cases, just pile all those spices in one small dish, since they're all dry and all get added in one shot.
I like these, they look nice and do the job just fine.
