Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Luminarc Quadro 2-Liter Glass Pitcher with LidCustomer Review: Wear an apron Summary: 2 Stars
I store vegetable and fruit shakes in this container that I blend in my Vita-mix. I like the size of this container, and the spot to hold it is somewhat helpful. The lid is horrible, the worst. You cannot turn it upside down without getting drips if you need to shake juice. If you shake it side to side and have a thicker juice it wont mix it without making a mess even with the lid on. When you take the lid off watch out! It will spray you every time with whatever you have in it. The top is too small to get in to clean with your hand as well.
Customer Review: Good Product, Deceptive Shipping & Handling Methods Summary: 4 Stars
This is a fine jug, better than others I found in local stores.
However, the shipping charge was nearly 80% the cost of the product and, instead of shipping 2 containers together when I ordered them at Amazon, the product was shipped in two separate boxes, each with the heavy "shipping & handling" fee. Thus, suddenly, a relatively price-worthy container (it is, after all, just lightweight glass and a very cheap top) became pretty expensive.
Poor shipping policy, obviously intended to make higher margins on the product.
Customer Review: We love these! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered 2 of these back in December since we are trying to replace plastic. We love them! We use them both constantly for iced tea (one regular tea, one herbal) and they regularly go through the dishwasher with no problems. The lids are not airtight but I would never shake something in a pitcher anyway so its not a problem -and I haven't had an issue with refrigerator odors getting in. I'm thinking of ordering another one for lemonade/juice. The shape is great since it takes up lass space than a round pitcher.
Customer Review: Bad Design Summary: 2 Stars
I love that this is glass, but it's a really bad design. The indention in the glass to "hold" it is slippery because it's a wide glass grip. Additionally, I have *yet* to be able to pour this thing without contents spilling everywhere. I got the smaller size by the same brand that has a smaller handle off the side and it's MUCH better. No spillage, and nice easy grip & pour capabilities. If you're looking for a glass pitcher the smaller size of this brand is the better choice, even though it's a little smaller.
Customer Review: Great Slim Container Summary: 3 Stars
I had a Luminarc Quadro pitcher before and loved it. It was easy to take to work but unfortunately it broke. I received my current pitcher and is similar to what I had before except that the glass seems to be thinner so will need to be extra careful when handling it and the lid is made of hard plastic that leaks when being transported, the old one had a rubber lid that didn't leak. It's a great pitcher if all you do is put it in the fridge (not practical for transporting back and forth).
