Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Lodge Pro-Logic Cast-Iron Aebleskiver PanCustomer Review: Love it! Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great purchase. It was the first time we ever make this filled pancake and it was a great success. I chose the item because I didn't want to get the kind with non-stick surface that would come off over time. It worked pretty well as long as you add enough butter before pouring in the mix and turn the pancake when it is ready (the first couple times I turn it over too soon and had to clean the pan out before pouring in another pancake. So the timing is key!)
Customer Review: Lodge Pro Logic Cast Iron Aebleskiver Pan Summary: 5 Stars
I was very anxious to receive the Aebleskiver Pan. It came very quickly and I put it to the test immediately. It worked great. I was so pleased with the pan. It is already pre-seasoned so I only used a little bit of Pam. My Aebleskiver's came out delicious and very easily out of the pan. I would recommend this to anyone that likes to cook or bake. You could also make corn muffins in this. A fantastic pan. Thank you.
Customer Review: Aebleskiver pan Summary: 4 Stars
This is a fine sturdy pan. The instructions weren't really clear - I didn't know if I was supposed to use it in an oven or on a stove top. A tried a couple recipes and then settled on a recipe for baked donuts made on the stove top. A couple weeks after I purchased this through Amazon it was featured for half price (a special) at one of the upscale kitchen/dishes/glassware/condiments stores and websites.
Customer Review: Pricey Summary: 3 Stars
There are other aebleskiver pans on the market that can probably do just a capable job as this more pricey pan with limited use. One pays extra for the Pro-Logic finish which wears off in time anyway. It would have been a nicer touch if Lodge included a few recipes to help us to start off with. IMHO I would recommend buying one of the less expensive pans unless you plan on making pancake balls quite often.
Customer Review: Disappointing Summary: 1 Stars
I tried this Lodge pan side-by-side with a "Pancake Puff Deluxe." They are both cast-iron and theoretically should work the same. The Lodge disappointed, however. The food stuck (and burned while I tried to get it out), and cleanup was very difficult. In contrast, the Pancake Puff Deluxe worked perfectly and cleaned up easily. This is the second Lodge item that has underperformed. I won't buy them again.
