I've cooked Chinese food at home for almost 20 years and have suffered in frustration with various metals. Sometimes low-tech is best, and Lodge really thought out the design of this wok. Doesn't take long to warmup and once hot, it stays hot for a long time. Because it's a traditionally shaped wok, it uses less oil than cheaper carbon woks. Its large handles allow you to easily handle its heft with mits on, and the flat base is great. It will last longer than you'll be on the planet, and you'll thank yourself for buying it sooner than later. Besides, wok cooking is stupid-proof and fun. I look for reasons not to cook in this thing, and there are very few!
