My husband and I go camping at least once a month and then for 6 weeks to the southwest, we have also done Dutch Oven cooking on Llama packing trips, not having a lid holder would mean dirt or other things on you lid that may get into your food, they are a must....we have several!!Customer Review: A must have for the Lodge dutch ovens!

This is an excellent product. In fact you might want to buy a second one for the pot itself for when you take it off of the fire. This item cleans up easy and can be stored inside your dutch oven. I bought this complete set for my daughter and son-in-law. At first I thought this was a rather odd thing to have but I purchased it anyway. They absolutely love it because the lid gets very hot and it gives you a place to set the lid while stirring the pot.Customer Review: Works as expected

A necessity for keeping your Dutch Oven top clean when camping. We also use it as a base for our lid when we are cooking eggs or pancakes. Just put some coals around the stand and you have heat for your Dutch Oven lid to serve as a frying pan!Customer Review: Saves table tops and other flammable objects!!!

I didn't know if I really needed this but after using it I couldn't do without it. It is versatile in so many ways and protects the surfaces of what ever you are putting your hot dutch oven on. Very reasonably priced for what is does for you.
