I purchased this product to use along with my new Lodge cast-iron skillet. During the last three weeks, I've used the mitt on exactly six occasions. Because the mitt heats up if left on the handle of the skillet, I've been careful to remove it after each use. Yet the mitt is already falling apart--there are numerous cracks in the fabric and the stuffing has become exposed, despite extremely light usage.
I do not recommend this product.

They fit not only a regular skillet handle, but also the double handle of the "combo cooker" that has a handle for both lid and pot.
No heat transferred whatsoever to my hands, even after keeping them on the handle for 20 minutes.
Not sure why others are having trouble with scorching. I used these in the kitchen. Perhaps over the open flame of camping I'll find out otherwise...if so, I'll update my review.

I bought the Lodge Max Temp Handle Mitt thinking I was getting a full size oven Mitt, when in fact, this is a tiny item that fits snugly on the handle of my cast iron frying pan. The picture next to the item is deceptive, and I had to then order a full sized mitt.
On top of that, this little mitt started to tear apart after only a few months of use.
This is not a good item and I would recommend it to no one.

This handle is inexpensive and fits the cast iron skillet's handle prettttty well....frankly i only gave it 3 stars because it falls off and it just wont stay on there well...i would prefer if it had a tighter hold tot he skillet so it stayed on better... but other than that it does not transfer the heat through the mitt and i definitely recommend getting it otherwise i would have surely burnt my hand by now.... =)Customer Review: Works, but not the best ever

Works for about 15 seconds, then the heat starts coming through. I found it sufficient to maneuver the skillet around on the stove (and only if you put it on the handle just before maneuvering), but pot-holders are still required if you intend on long term contact with the handle. It is also sufficient for removing the skillet from the oven, as long as you're just putting the skillet on the stove-top.
