I gave this to my Dad for his famous corn bread. He hasn't mentioned it come to think about it.... I thought he'd like it. This thing is at least 10 lbs. of iron...man!
Update: My Dad loves this pan! I bought a handle-mit just for this pan so my pops won't burn himself on the handle while taking it out of the oven.

i am making my southern man so happy, his dream cornbread come true thanks to this pan. crispy edges thanks to the wedges. other reviews said it's a pain that it's 9 inches because you have batter left over, which is usually true, but we just reheat the pan and pour the rest in for those last 3 or 4 wedges. easy to clean,too.Customer Review: Cumpre com as expectativas.

I make a lot of cornbread and this skillet makes great cornbread everytime. It browns nicely and the bread just pops right out, the tops even come out crunchy :),
Its important to take proper care of the skillet, but if you do that it will last for a long time.
