Customer Review: Hard to clean, will rust if you let it soak

This pan came with directions making it clear you shouldn't use any sort of soap when cleaning because you can damage the pan. It didn't say anything about letting the cornbread that sticks to it sit in water for ~8 hours. Not only did I find it rusting but it was _still_ a pain to clean inside the corner of the wedges. I greased the pan really well before adding the cornbread mix, so I was surprised to see as much sticking as there was. The cornbread came out great and I like this shape but the maintenance of this pan may be over the top.Customer Review: Something about triangular corn bread just tastes better

Fantastic Made in USA product for so little money. I have made a few batches of cornbread and they came out perfect. I dont know why, but the triangle shaped corn bread is just so much more appealing and tasty. You get a bit of difference in crisp/moist. The presentation of these for dinner/parties is much better, no crumbs falling off the cut out edges of pan cornbread.
Bit of a hassle to clean, but just soak in hot water and use a stiff tooth brush.

I'm just a old country girl...
Lodge cast iron in my kind of cookware. However, I don't mind saying
I was a little taken-aback when I received this skillet.
My only concern is it isn't as deep as I thought it would be. (not in description)
Well, I used it ...it's alright. makes "cute" cornbread wedges.
Be sure to oil your skillet well...I can be a duzzie to clean.
I use a plastic brush, this helps

I got both this pan and a cornstick pan. The wedge pan is superior in my opinion.
It's a little work to clean it but other reviews that claim "hours of cleaning" are silly.
I would prefer that they made this with two small handles instead of the "frying pan" style but that's certainly not a deal-breaker.
It is an odd volume so I wouldn't suggest this as a gift to a strict recipe-follower who can't handle adjustments.

I bought both the Lodge Logic Pre-seasoned muffin Pan and the Wedge shaped pan for making Mexican Corn Bread. I like my cornbread with lots of peppers and my wife don't like the peppers so I make her's in the muffin pan and mine in the wedge pan. The cornbread to comes out of both pans very easy and is golden brown and crispy. We put a butter and honey on ours and eat them with Navy Beans. Makes a great meal.
