I bought this as a replacement for my George Foreman grill, which I used to hate to clean. I have been very disappointed with the cast iron grill. It's even more difficult to clean than the Foreman Grill! I have other cast iron fry pans which I love. I had planned to use this grill pan to cook bacon, but my turkey bacon strips stick to the ridges. Perhaps the problem is that I haven't learned how to best use this pan. In the meantime, it has been retired to a kitchen cabinet.Customer Review: Watch Out - So Much for Pre-Seasoned

We were so excited about trying this pan, what a major disappointment. We have only been able to use it once since the chicken we cooked in it has become a permanent part of the pan. We have scrubbed, soaked and without having the pan sandblasted, the cooked on food won't come off! I have never been so disappointed about a product before this one. Why pay for a pan that can only be used one time. I'm ready to throw it out and stick with my old reliable pans. Not even worth a penny!Customer Review: Not for electric range

Just a warning-- I would caution against using this type of pan on an electric range.. I mistakenly bought it and found out that you have to be careful when cooking cast iron pots and pans on an electric range because the burners create hot spots that can cause the pans/pots to crack.. You basically have to heat the pan slowly and do not heat it past medium.. really not worth it for me.. but too much trouble to send it back.. I will give it to a relative who can use it instead..Customer Review: recommended by my son

My youngest son has this pan and said it gave him the best steak he had ever had. He was right! (Hard for a mom to admit.) I use mine several times a week, not just with steak. It is great. It is my first castiron pan so I was concerned about not "washing" it. I just followed the directions that came with the pan and it's working fine. I also use spray vegetable oil and there isn't a lot of residual oil left on it. Great purchase at a great price. Came very quickly.Customer Review: Great steaks and burgers!

Wonderful product at unbelievably low cost. Had purchased a modern aluminum non-stick but returned it because of uneven heat. No such problem here. Heat is so even and controlled you can cook a 1-1/2 thick steak without using the oven or broiler. Follow the directions and have easy non-stick cooking and easy cleanup with light soap and water. Reading suggests to avoid sugary sauces for at least a dozen uses. Suggest to get their mini-mitt and screen as well.
