This is an excellent Dutch oven! It cleans up very easily because it is pre-seasoned, and it is very easy to use. It can be used on the stove top or in the oven and it comes with a self basting lid which was unexpected but a wonderful surprise. I would recommend this to anyone.Customer Review: Dutch oven

When I bought mine decades ago, the pre-seasoning wasn't available, but my 5 qt has seasoned up very nicely and it's used on a regular basis. I also have the Lodge 7qt and it is my kitchen workhorse. Great for up to 4 people, otherwise, get the 7 qt.Customer Review: This will last a lifetime!

I absolutely love the pre-seasoned items. It saves so much time and is convenient especially for those who are new to cooking with cast iron. I have just about every thing made by Lodge & recommend this as an item you will use again & again.
