I use this cast iron "fryer" nearly every day for just about any dish.
PROS: steady, even heat, durable, non-stick (when cared for properly)
CONS: heavy

Nice item to use - I like the size as far as being deep.
I certainly can fry chicken as the boys like it!
Although I do like to caution to everyone that cast iron is heavy!
