Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Lodge Color 6-Quart Dutch Oven, Café BrownCustomer Review: Great Buy Summary: 5 Stars
I have found this pot a great buy comparing it to price of an equivalent pot made by Le Creuset. So far it seems to cook very nicely. What I don't know, of course, is whether it will last as long as Le Creuset, but if it doesn't, I will be able to buy this pot 5 times before the purchase will cost me as much as the Le Creuset!!!
Customer Review: Great Dutch Oven Summary: 5 Stars
The first time I used this pot I burned my soup because it got so hot! Like any cast iron pot, it heats up slowly but retains a lot of heat. The enamel makes it very easy to clean and nothing sticks! the size of it makes it perfect for cooking large amounts of stew, soup, or even boiling a whole chicken for stock.
Customer Review: Lodge enameled cast iron Dutch oven Summary: 5 Stars
This is typical of Lodge products: heavy, first rate and will last a lifetime. We find it the perfect choice, for oven-based, slow cooking, as well as specialty roasting. Also, it's a breeze, to clean. Nothing sticks to it. We prefer it, to the more expensive pot, of similar design, produced under a French name.
Customer Review: Dutch Oven Crazy Summary: 5 Stars
Love, love, love this cast iron dutch oven. Made three meals in it already and all were delicious. The cast Iron keeps the heat in for those wonderful slow cooking recipes. The enamal coating inside is still brand new looking. Followed all the directions for cooking and cleaning and it holds up beautifully.
Customer Review: Excellent performance and value Summary: 5 Stars
The quality of this product is excellent. The finish, the weight, the enameled rim on lid and base, the price - all come together on this Dutch Oven. Having used this, I doubt I could ever consider the pricey competitors - some over 4X more expensive. I am certain I will be buying more Lodge enameled cookware.
