Designed well with the horizontal pieces near the hook to use as a rest if there isn't something to hook it onto. Fairly light weight but also strong and well-built. Would be useful for cooking on wood burning stoves as well as campfires.Customer Review: Dutch Oven Lid Lifter

The quality is not that great (made in China). It is not welded together straight. I straightened it out with a big hammer and an anvil so it works OK now. Getting it to work right on two different dutch ovens was problematic also.Customer Review: Must have!!!

There is no better way to lift dutch oven lids than with this lifter. It is made be the industry standard Lodge company that has been around for years and know what they are doing. Extremely easy to use and very effective!!!

I ordered the lid lifter for my camping trip and to use my Dutch oven for the first time. Lid lifter worked well and the peach cobbler was a hit! And of course, you can never go wrong with Lodge products.
