I first saw these on late night tv and thought they were cool so I purchased them. Since then I've seen many other copykats crop up at various big box stores. I suspect because the Lock & Lock brand is more expensive but they are worth it. Once you use these you won't want anything else. The flaps will not break off in your life time and the silicone seal is of high quality. I started with a set and adventualy found a use for all the sizes that came in the set. From there I would order specific sizes to suite what ever I wanted to store. This size is one of my favorites. I use it to take lunches to work. It is the perfect size for an individual meal of left overs or what ever you like. Nothing will escape these containers so you don't have to worry about spills. I would even fill it with salad and put the dressing in a seperate tiny Lock & Lock (so the salad wouldn't get gross)and the dressing would not ooze out one bit (which is more than I could say for the rubbermaid containers I use to use). You freeze , microwave, dishwasher and eat out of these containers. One tip which is very import, make sure the container is completely dry before attaching the lid and storing it to prevent mold from forming in the seal area. I usually wash mine by hand after use and dry the seal by running a towel around it while pressing hard. Then I'll leave the lid off until it air drys (in about 4 hours.

You can't beat these storage containers for keeping food fresh. I have a lot of them in all sizes and use them for pantry storage of everything from cereal and snack crackers to flour, sugar and coffee. I also have a bunch of different sizes for leftovers. They are airtight and food lasts a really long time. They don't absorb odors or food particles and are easy to clean. The nice thing is that you can store them on their sides or upside-down, even with liquids in them and they never leak which is great if you have a frig that never seems to have enough space, like mine. I use them to mix salad dressings because they are so leak proof. They're also freezer safe and you can microwave in them.

I've converted half of my neighbors into using them. I've used Tupperware and Rubbermaid in the past, but nothing comes close to these. They're the only type of storage I'll use from now on.

I ordered these containers because they were advertised on amazon as being 12.5 x 6.2 x 7.2 inches. I just received them, and they are 5x5x3 inches. I have no use for them.

These are great storage containers. I bought them for homemade ice cream & they work wonderfully for that, but found unlimited uses for these. Will buy more in future.
