We use this for cat food. Our old container fell on the floor a few too many times, and the lid, which was slowly losing pieces, finally broke in half.
This has been knocked onto the floor a few times too, but we have had no spills and no breakage. Not even a scratch. I think it might be nearly indestructible!
I chose this container because I have some other Lock&Lock containers in the kitchen. I use those mostly in the freezer, because they are nearly airtight, or, at least, moreso than my regular (Rubbermaid and Tupperware) containers. I can fill them with blueberries, and the berries will be frost-free even six months later.
I like this a lot, and I'm considering purchasing more of them for cereal.
