This container well deserves all the five star reviews because it is a quality product. Here is why I like it:
1. Unlike cheaper storage containers, the plastic on this is thicker and more durable.
2. The four plastic snaps on each side of the lid are easy to open and close, and ensure a more airtight and leak proof seal than lids that have no snaps.
3. This holds 38 cups, which is the equivalent of 9 1/2 pounds (4 cups = 1 pound). I ordered this specifically to store a 10 lb bag of raw pumpkin seeds that I ordered so that they would stay fresh. When I looked at the large bag that the pumpkin seeds came in, I thought that maybe I should have ordered two of these containers, but almost the entire bag fit into a single container.
4. Although this holds a lot, it occupies much less space in my refrigerator than the bag my pumpkin seeds came in. For as much as it holds, its "footprint" is reasonably small.
5. This is very convenient to use. Putting my pumpkin seeds in was simple, and so is scooping out my 1/4 cup portions (I just leave the scoop in the container).
6. For the amount of storage space, this is very reasonably priced.
Bottom line: If you need a quality large storage container, look no further. I recommend this.
