The plastic scratches extremely easily. The lights throw stips of light across the page instead of lighting the whole page. It is relatively heavy to hold along with the book. Altogether it was very disappointing. Not too bad in bed when it is really dark and there are pillows to support it.Customer Review: Best Light Ever!

My husband reads at night and it used to drive me crazy, until we got this light. It's perfect for the person using it and lights up the entire page, but doesn't shine all over the room. Someone wrote that the pictures are misleading, but to me it's very clear in both the picture of the booklight and the picture of the booklight and a book, that the light is uneven.
My question is whether the pictures shows the truth or if it's worse?

I bought this for my Father in Law. My Mother in Law did not like the light on in bed when he was reading. He tried a flashlight, etc. to solve the problem. This was the resolution. No bleed from the light, but very bright on the page. He's very happy.Customer Review: You light up my night

I wish I would have bought the regular one instead of the paperback version. I love this light. I can see everything and don't get the shadows hindering my reading. I prefer to read in bed and this allows me to do so without waking up dh.
