I decided to purchase the paperback version of this item because I'm an avid reader who travels frequently. I love the design as well as the products ability to illuminate the entire page. Other book lights were either flimsy or cumbersome. Unhappy with how easy it was to scratch, I recently made an additional purchase along with the soft cover which remedied the problem. It's very durable and the batteries seem to last a long time. I would reccomend this item for purchase.Customer Review: also disappointed

Like others, I was very excited about this product...I purchased it with the magnifying page and couldn't wait to be able to read some of my books again....I was disappointed when I got a book ready to read....light is uneven, wavey and the magnifying page just intensifies the distortion with more waves. The whole thing is distracting because you have to keep it lined up on the page just so and then have to move it and readjust it to the next page...continuity gets lost.Customer Review: I'll never go back to bulbs!

After buying the Original LightWedge three years ago, a second one (my husband and I couldn't share) and most recently the LightWedge Paperback for my smaller books, I will never again go back to the other booklights I used before. Not only do the LightWedge products produce exactly the clean clear light they are said to produce, I love that the act of buying and changing bulbs so frequently is now a thing of the past. I bought before at Chapters & love it so much that I did want more to offer as gifts. I did purchase more this year for Christmas. It is very practical at night or when you are travelling
Would like to order more but I am told that they are not shipping in Canada anymore.
I am very upset about it.
I bought some from China before & the quality was awful. I regretted my purchase then. But I would recommended yours anytime.

I love how the lightwedge lights up the page, even in the late afternoon when it's not totally dark in the room, but the battery connection is poor. As soon as I move the lightwedge onto the next page the batteries slide inside the compartment and lose the connection. I then have to shade the wedge side to side until it lights up again. This product would be perfect if it had a snugger fit for the batteries.
