Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of LightWedge Original LED Book Light, BlackCustomer Review: Best Book Light I Have Used Summary: 4 Stars
I rate this product a 4 for two reasons. It is prone to scratching and the over the counter price of $35.00. I bought mine, a "Harry Potter" model, through Amazon for $8.95 solving the second problem. I use a micro fiber cloth, the same one I use to on my glasses, to clean it solving the first problem. I find the light source more than adequate for both paper books and my Kindle.
Customer Review: Satisfied customer! Summary: 5 Stars
This product is saving me lots of sleep!!! My husband loves to read every night before falling asleep, and the side table light used to keep me up. With this product, the pages are illuminated sufficiently for him to read and he no longer has to turn the other light on. He is very happy with the product and I am getting much more needed sleep!! A win-win for us both!
Customer Review: Best Book Light I've Ever Owned Summary: 4 Stars
Most book lights are awkward and after a few uses, I've given up the idea of reading at night in a dark room. This is the best design I've seen. The light is on the page. I think they could possibly improve the distribution of light on the page, but I imagine that would jack the price up to allow for a more sophisticated lighting method. As it stands, it's a great product.
Customer Review: Inferior product Summary: 1 Stars
This thing is cumbersome unless you have a specific size of book. It's not versatile, at all, which means if you're reading different books, you'll need to get (you guessed it) different sized light wedges!
The light itself is faint. I'm sticking with my old standby snake light that easily produces three times the light and can be used with any book.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 4 Stars
The LightWedge works as you would expect. It definitely has issues with any sort of smudge or scratch being highly illuminated, but it doesn't distract me too much. It is light-weight. It does illuminate the room more than you might expect, with a soft blue glow. but I still highly prefer it to the type of lights that clip on to a book, which can be quite clumsy.
