Customer Review: Ideal booklight if you can keep it from scratching

I bought the Lightwedge as a gift for someone. When she unwrapped it Christmas morning it was full of scratches all along the right side of the wedge so deep they impaired the book type along the book's spine. It was embarrassing to me but she overlooked it and thanked me for such an innovative gift. I was sorry I hadn't inspected the item prior to wrapping it, and even sorrier I had thrown out all of the Amazon literature to offer to return it for one without scratches. Maybe somehow this common complaint will end up getting to the manufacturer and it will result in better packing for shipment.Customer Review: Excellent reading light

The Lightwedge is truly a great night light, but I have only one complaint. I don't recall being warned about how easily the acrylic is scratched. I am a very careful person (you should see my books after I've read them), but after reading a few nights and putting the wedge away carefully in its case, the scratches on the acrylic are terrible. The book pages themselves scratch it. I don't know what could be done to avoid this, and I'm not trying to get a refund or replacement, but I'm very disappointed with the scratches because I'm pretty fussy about such things.Customer Review: A Quality Book Light

While you do have to be careful with the clear part of the booklight (to avoid scratches and keep it clean), this is a good booklight. It doesn't spread light all over like other booklights and illuminates all of the pages well. It's also directional, so you can keep it pointing away from others that may be around you. The only other problem is that this light is a bit large for a paperback, but it is still usable with that size of book. It's also fairly lightweight and easy to handle. Overall, a good buy if you're in need of a good booklight.Customer Review: Great Light

Solid product! The light illuminates the page nicely without giving off too much light that may disrupt your lover's sleep. This can be used as a tool to preserve a solid relationship if your bed buddy is easily annoyed with any lights on at bedtime. I have been using mine for a while. The plastic is scratched through the years but I travel with mine. I suggest getting a travel case if you plan to be mobile with it. I just bought one for my mom and will update if the product's quality has changed. Highly recommend.Customer Review: light wedge....bright idea!

I purchased the LightWedge original for my husband for Christmas and he LOVES it! He normally reads late at night but does it in the other room so he won't keep me awake. Oddly enough on New Year'e Eve our electricity went out for about an hour (right before midnight) and he was able to keep reading without missing a beat...thanks to the light wedge! I'm planning to make a "protector sleeve" for it out of polar fleece as opposed to purchasing one. It'll work fine, I'm sure.
