The lightwedge is a good idea that was poorly executed. The major problem is that the measly 2 LEDs employed simply do not product enough light output when spread over the page. Given how inexpensive these LEDs currently are, this is inexcusable. 4 would likely work well, 5 even better. The idea of using internal reflection in an optical wedge is clever, but the plastic material is builds up static and gets dusty, and is highly prone to scratching, which will eventually ruin the device. I'm eventually going to take mine apart and see if I can modify it with the additional LEDs myself.Customer Review: Don't buy it

I was planning to buy this for my girlfriend who likes to read on bed but it disappoints me twice.
The first time I got this, I installed the batteries and turned the light on. I found dust and some scratches IN the glass. So I returned it.
The second time which amazon.com replaced another for me. This is worse than the previous one. The margin of the glass is full of scratches. Then I asked for a refund.
Hey, if you really want a reading light, get a LED overhead reading light or install a bed reading light. It works better than this piece of c-rap.

I thought that I could adapt easily to the weight of the LightWedge, and I thought that moving it every time I turn a page wouldn't bother me. Wrong. Also, I read in bed and often slide down to read while on my side--the LightWedge is VERY inconvenient in that position. This product does exactly what it said it would do, which is why I'm not giving it less than 3 stars, but . . . I got intrigued by the "cool gadget-ness" of it, and let that feeling override my reason. For me, this was money wasted. I do a great deal of air and bus travel and there is no better light to use. The overhead lights on flights and bus trips are generally terible and this not only solves that problem but the lightwedge doesn't bother anybody else. I am going to buy a couple for my nephews and nieces who are in college. I figure that they could use these in their dorm rooms too. It's a really great product. Every time I use it I get several questions wanting to know where to buy one. You'll love it. Nothing could be more convient and easy to travel with.Customer Review: Best reading light I've ever purchased

I've had mine for a couple years now.
Pros:
- excellent battery life - I use it every night and it's been months since I had to change the batteries.
- does a great job of lighting the page without sending light elsewhere.
- I find this design much more convenient than the clip on designs.
- quality construction - I use it extensively, have traveled with it, and even dropped it a few times and it still works great.
