I love the heavy base and tapered design, the top is thin and easy/comfortable to drink out of. Glasses have a nice look that goes with everything, fits in dishwasher well - does not tip or hit top and they are durable. I have had them for 3 months and no broken glasses yet. I can see how any glass with a thinner lip could break though, so use some care. I personally only like thin lipped glases and coffee mugs, so worth the slight extra caution to me. I had the ribbed bistro style canning jar or working type glasses before these and could not stand the heft and thick lip on them anymore.Customer Review: Break Easily

These are nice looking glasses, but they break fairly easily. We've had these glasses for 3-4 months, and in that time about 5 of the tall glasses have broken. They have either broken while being washed by slight banging against other dishes or by being tipped, etc. We have other glasses that have lasted us forever. These just seem to not be durable at all. Especially not recrommended for use with children. We very very rarely use the 8 small glasses. They just take up space.Customer Review: Nice & Simple

I bought these glasses because they were inexpensive, while still appearing to be of good quality. A few years back, I bought an expensive set of 16 glasses at Pier One, and almost all of them are now broken because the glass was so thin. I know I'm jinxing myself, but so far, I've had this set for about 6 months and none have broken. They may not have the style of the expensive glasses, but they are much nicer quality, and WAY more affordable. I highly recommend these!Customer Review: Great!!

We love these glasses! I purchased my first set of these for Christmas 2009 and we loved them. Recently we had a bit of a mishap that caused most of the set to be broken. We purchased a second set in March 2010 and now have some extras! They are very solid and look modern enough to get some nice remarks from visitors. If you are looking for a durable and sleek glass, go with these. I love them and have even considered buying a third box just to have for back-ups.Customer Review: Broken Glasses

These glasses were looked great and were very heavy upon arrival, but one or two of them were broken, so now I have a partial set of great looking heavey glasses. I wanted to send them back, but shipping for return would have cost almost as much as the glasses cost me originally. I gave two stars, because the glasses were great but unusable. I would not suggest purchasing these online. If you can find them in a store, then they would be great.
