Customer Review: Classic Holiday China, an Heirloom Set

Like fine china from times gone by this is a wonderful set. Whether you start with a few pieces and add on every year or start with a full setting it is a great holiday tradition. We use ours for all our special meals from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve. Lenox has added some wonderful service pieces over the last few years as well. One of my favorites is a two bowl set with seal tight lids. The bowls are refrig, dishwaher, oven and microwave safe. The lids when on will not spill a drop and look lovely on the table. (They do lack the gold trim of the other pieces so they can be more go in the microwave, etc). Another plus is that most every department store carries it so it is easy to find and is always on sale before and after the holidays. You can spice it up with the plaid accent plates or the scenic dessert plate set - all are beautiful. I hope you enjoy them as much as we have.

Handcrafted of ivory fine china, the gold-banded Holiday pattern is distinguished by its graceful holly and berries motif. A beautiful tradition since 1974.As cheerful as fresh boughs on your table, the Holiday pattern from Lenox creates a perfect setting for festive meals. Made from fine china, each plate in the four place settings features a merry pattern of holly branches with bright red berries, fine brown stems, and leaves in varied green. A 1/4-inch 24-karat gold band on the outer rim of the plates adds an elegant shine and rich dimension. The teacup is especially charming, with two sprigs of holly and gold bands at the rim, foot, and handle edges. Each place setting includes a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate, an 8-1/8-inch salad/dessert plate, a 6-3/8-inch bread and butter plate, a 6-1/8-inch saucer, and a 6-ounce teacup. All pieces are dishwasher-safe and covered by Lenox's lifetime replacement policy. The Holiday pattern is also available in serveware and accent pieces. --Emily Bedard
