Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Leifheit Pro Line Stainless Steel Egg SlicerCustomer Review: Elegant but egg sticks to its threads Summary: 4 Stars
I like:
Its elegant look and stainless steel body. Its very handy and robust.
A very good product for the money I spent. Its worth more than that.
I dislike:
After slicing the egg, it sticks to its thread and makes it very difficult to clean.
Overall: A nice product to buy if you clean it immediately after slicing.
Customer Review: Expensive but worth the money Summary: 5 Stars
If you want a reliable slicer that will last for years, this is the slicer to own or give as a gift. Creates perfect slices. Wash after wash, the dishwasher has not tarnished its finish. The wires haven't stretched like with cheaper slicers, but I admit I never use it for mushrooms, cheese, etc. so I don't know how it would stand up to firmer foods.
Customer Review: High quality, sturdy slicer Summary: 5 Stars
I had gone through 6 different egg/mushroom slicers in the past two years. Plastic ones that broke after one or two uses, metal ones where the finish wore off and left black marks all over my food... and then this one. I have had this one for months and it is still going strong... and trust me, it gets a workout slicing a lot of mushrooms!
Customer Review: Heavy duty Summary: 5 Stars
What else can I say? It's a high quality egg slicer. It can slice my eggs either direction, which is a must for me, and I can slice many olives at once when I need sliced olives. Haven't tried anything else yet, but I have faith that it will give me lots of great use for many years. Well worth the extra money.
Customer Review: Great quality Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a cheapie version of this, and soon the metal discolored and seemed like it didn't get clean, and the wires weren't as strong. This one is very high quality, the wires are firm and the indentations make it easy to make cross cuts by rotating the egg one turn. Wish I'd bought this one first.
