I purchased this for my husband for Christmas because I thought it was beautiful and I knew he would love cooking with one (he has recently gotten into clay pot cooking and we always wanted a tagine). I was initially disappointed by the color since in the photo it doesn't look bright white (which it is) but more of an off-white and black. Regardless, it is a beautiful design and I am getting used to the white. My husband loved receiving it and has been enjoying cooking in it even more. He told me tonight, after making a delicious chicken with olives and preserved lemons, that this has become his favorite cookware. He loves the fact that he can use so little water, yet, it keeps things moist and it results in a very flavorful dish. To be on the safe side, we use a diffuser (which we already had on hand). Like the most recent reviewers stated, the company has learned to pack the tagine so that it arrives in two pieces, exactly!
