I bought this as the same time as I bought my 9" Le Creuset skillet, after reading reviews on Cooks Illustrated and also people's experiences of accidentally grabbing a hot pan handle without thinking. I really like this. It does feel a little slippery at times (hence 4 stars) but I don't see how they could fix that and still allow it to slide off, which I appreciate because I don't have to wash it every time I was the pan. Which is nice because then you have to let it dry thoroughly and don't want to risk getting your pan's handle even the least bit wet if this handle isn't dry. I digress. This handle is still a bit warm, but it will definitely keep you from getting a full-on burn, and for that purpose, I would recommend it. It's also handy and comes in matching colors for your pans!
