I ordered the stainless steel replacement knob so that I could use my Lodge brand enameled dutch oven to bake bread. Since the bread is baked at 475 degrees, the plastic knob that came with the pot was in danger of melting at that high temperature. Now I can bake without worry!Customer Review: Oven Worthy

Our Le Creuset stew pot came with a lovely knob that could not be subjected to high oven temperatures. The stainless knob is now permanently attached and was a trooper when we made our Julia Child version of boeuf bourgingnonne (sp?)which had to stay in the oven for four hours.Customer Review: goldilocks and the three knobs

I bought this knob to replace the one that came on my 6.5qt Tramontina dutch oven. The one that came with the oven was not able to tolerate the high heat that the oven could so I bought this knob. I had to use a longer screw but it worked perfectly as a replacement.Customer Review: Great knobs

Over the last couple years I was always annoyed by my broken knobs on a couple of my favorite Le Creuset pot lids. Now I am so pleased with having complete knobs on the lids I will have to by one more for the other one because these are superior to the originals.
