Customer Review: Get a grip!
Summary: 4 Stars
Like much of the Le Creuset line, these dishwasher safe round silicone hot pads have multiple uses. Covered with ridges they make excellent trivets for resting hot pots and pans on while allowing for air flow. The ridges also make these perfect to set eggs on so they don't roll off the counter. They are firm enough to use as a fan when a little air movement would come in handy. Combined with the ridges, they are flexible enough for opening jars and bending/gripping around medium to large handles.
The only drawback is that they don't work well with smaller sized handles. This makes using these pads with other Le Creuset product like the pate terrine or the au gratins pretty much useless when it comes to grabbing and moving them.

Cool Tool combination pot holder, hot pad and jar gripper, citrus.Multifunctional and dishwasher-safe, this unique gadget represents the next generation in potholders. Constructed of FDA certified silicone, the ridged disk comfortably grips hot pots and pans while keeping hands safe. Laying flat on the counter, the piece adequately protects surfaces but probably shouldn?t be trusted with wood tabletops as some heat will be present. Due to its rubbery texture, the mat holds firm and can be used under a mixing bowl or cutting board to prevent slipping. Additionally, it dramatically simplifies jar lid removal.
