Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Le Creuset 16-Quart Stockpot, BlueCustomer Review: Le Creuset Stock Pot 16 quart Summary: 5 Stars
I have a smaller Le Creset 8 quart stock pot that would be a bit too small. I debated whether to get the 12 or 16 quart. I'm glad I got the 16 quart. It is not small but does fit in my cabinet. I use it for large amounts of corn on the cob, spaghetti and soup for crowds.
If you don't feed crowds go with the 8 or 12 quart.
The quality is excellant. Yes it is a bit pricey but it doesn't warp and I need a flat bottom for my glass/ceramic cooktop. I had other stock pots but over time they would warp. This is not cast iron so you do NOT heat the pot without something in it.
Customer Review: Easily holds four crabs or two lobsters Summary: 5 Stars
For those who love the freshest seafood, this is The Stockpot. We put in four large-ish crabs and had plenty of room; we later put in two medium-to-large lobsters with ease. There was plenty of water, so they were cooked quickly and mercifully. All those turkey bones would fit in fine for a lovely stock. The thing is pretty large, so consider where you're gonna store it, but when you need the room, this stockpot is the way to go.
Customer Review: Great Large Pot Summary: 5 Stars
I used this pot to make scratch chicken and sausage gumbo for the Christmas holiday. I boiled two five pound chickens including vegetables to make the chicken for the gumbo and the chicken stock. There was plenty of room left over. When I doubled the recipe for the gumbo (10-12) servings to (20-24) there was still ample space. As advertised clean-up was easy. I highly reccommend this pot. 0
Customer Review: These Stockpots are the best. Summary: 5 Stars
This is my third one I have purchased.
They are very well made with a lifetime waranty.
I use them for canning tomatoes.
For years I used the Stanless ones but they wear out fast.
These ones will not burn through nor will the finish crack.
These are very well made.
Oh, they are also very easy to clean.
Customer Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
For those of you that chipped your pots, that's because you should have been using a plastic or silicone utensil. you're not supposed to use anything else. it's just common sense. this stock pot is amazing. beautiful color too. Macy's just had the 16qt on sale for $17.99. It just went back up to $60 though.
