This fan is great! We first bought it to put outside in our covered back patio to keep our dogs cool during the 100+ degree heat of our summers. The dogs seemed to enjoy it - they'd lay in front of it and let it keep them nice and cool. But then we started needing it inside once our electric bill was getting too high due to our air conditioner being on constantly. So we cleaned it up and brought it in... and since, it's been sitting in our floor, on almost every day, keeping us cool. We've also become used to the quiet hum of the fan when it's running, and it's nice to have that background white noise during the day or night. I like the ability to tilt the fan toward the sky, or to face us directly straight on. It's light enough for my son to help move/carry it, the dial on the back is easy for him/us to maneuver, and it's not too loud, either, so we really can enjoy talking or watching TV without having too loud of a fan doing on behind us. Hopefully this fan will last another year, because it's become a necessity in our home!
